Competence Verification FAQ

Users can assign competencies to their records. They can attach documentation to demonstrate their skill.

What is Competence Verification?

Our customers would like to choose which competencies they need to verify, to ensure the person does have the selected competence.

This is an enhancement to the v3 Security Vetting feature. It extends the feature to any competence the customer chooses. It allow the customer to choose the length of the time to verify the addition and whether the competence should be allowed to pass rules, based on its status.

Where do I find Competence Verification?

Go to Home > Modules > Configuration > Open Any Competence Manager Form.

· Verification is off by default.

· Verification cannot be added if Require Video is Yes.

What are the options for Competence Verification?

Who will verify?

A new Role called “Competence Verifier” has been added. Any user who has this role will be notified by email of competence status updates.

How do I know what competencies need to be verified?

At each stage of verification we send email notifications to the Competence Verifiers.

We have also added a Verify Competence Dashboard which lists all competencies that need to be verified.

What happens when a Competence that requires verification is added to a person?

When a competence is added and it requires verification, the Competence is added in the Pending State.

Competence Verifier users are sent an email notification.

Can I resubmit a Competence that has failed verification?

Yes, a failed competence can be resubmitted, on resubmit it will go back through the verification loop.

How many times can I resubmit a Competence that has failed verification?

There is no limit to the number of times a failed competence can be resubmitted.
