Release Notice for Info Exchange

Live & Upcoming Releases throughout September

Privacy Policy Update

We will be updating the Privacy Policy link in the footer of your Info Exchange to direct the user to the EcoOnline Privacy Policy on our website, this is so that it always reflects the most up to date information. We will also be enabling this by default on your Exchange. If you have any queries, please contact Helpdesk.

Ability to select “Now” on Date & Time field, with user timezone support

We already have the ability to select “Today” on a Date field, however we are now expanding the functionality to be able to select “Now” on a Date/Time field. This would select the current time and current date, based on the user’s timezone, reducing user input required.

If the browser timezone detected does not match the timezone selected on the user’s profile, a notification will show, prompting them to select the correct timezone for their location.

Any field constraints will continue respect the user’s timezone, e.g. if you have configured the field to only accept times/dates in the past, it will consider the user’s timezone when applying this constraint and choosing whether or not to display the error message.

PDF formatting improvements

We have been working on some PDF formatting changes, aimed at improving the look and feel of Info Exchange data printed to PDF.

Included in these changes are:

  • Option to repeat column headers on Report and Search PDF outputs – makes it easier for a user to review/digest large data sets.
  • Alignment between on-screen record/summary view and PDF printed record/summary view, e.g. visible segments

Issues completing forms while page is loading (postbacks)

Improvements are due to be completed on forms that prevent the user from continuing their progress whilst the loading bar is still moving. This movement indicates that the form is doing something, e.g. checking conditional logic.

These changes are in response to feedback that users are attempting to edit fields whilst this is happening, and sometimes any selections do not register and revert back.

A measure to prevent the user from making selections that won’t be registered while the form is loading, will be introduced as a visual block. This visual block will display a grey overlay on the screen until the request has processed and the form has finished loading, indicating that the form is ready for use again – please see screenshots.

To reduce the frequency of the visual block and increase a user’s speed of use, we are making changes to the way the system posts back after making selections on the screen.
