Companies committing to net zero target dates
KEY FINDING
1 in 6 respondents have firm net zero target dates. 72% are actively building net zero strategies.
Approximately 16% of respondents reported a specific net zero target date, indicating that companies are making investments and putting the necessary technologies, strategies, and executive buy-in in place.
The mean target for those with a specific net-zero date is in the 2041-2042 range. A large majority of respondents (more than 72%) have not committed to a specific date but indicated that the underlying strategies are underway, suggesting that the number of companies with net-zero targets may increase in the future.
